Situation
During a live demo with the customer, a power outage occurred. The developer’s laptop still had power, but the internal test server went down, making it impossible to continue the demo.
Team Response
- Immediately informed the customer about the issue clearly and calmly.
- Continued the meeting by discussing slides or doing Q&A while waiting for restoration.
- If the issue persisted beyond 10 minutes, politely requested to reschedule the demo.
Lessons Learned
- Always prepare a cloud-based demo environment as backup.
- Check power and Internet stability before any important customer meeting.
- Using a 4G/5G mobile hotspot is an effective way to stay connected and continue meetings when traditional Wi-Fi is unavailable
