Situation

During a live demo with the customer, a power outage occurred. The developer’s laptop still had power, but the internal test server went down, making it impossible to continue the demo.

Team Response

  1. Immediately informed the customer about the issue clearly and calmly.
  2. Continued the meeting by discussing slides or doing Q&A while waiting for restoration.
  3. If the issue persisted beyond 10 minutes, politely requested to reschedule the demo.

Lessons Learned

  • Always prepare a cloud-based demo environment as backup.
  • Check power and Internet stability before any important customer meeting.
  • Using a 4G/5G mobile hotspot is an effective way to stay connected and continue meetings when traditional Wi-Fi is unavailable
